Who will oversee the project?
We can oversee the project from design to paint. We have expertise in planning arrival of materials and scheduling contractors. We will work with designers or your contractors if you like. You can be involved in the project as much as you would like to be.
What do I need to do in order to prepare for the project?
First, we would suggest that you prepare the area by clearing out items that you won't be needing anymore. We would also suggest that you move breakables to a secure area. If we will be working in the kitchen area, you will want to plan for your meals ahead of time.
How long will a project last?
That depends on the size and scope of the project. Generally, installing a new counter-top can be completed in a few days, while installing new cabinets in the same configuration as your existing setup can be completed in about a week. The more detailed the project, the longer it will take. If we have to move walls, arrange for flooring to be installed, a new tile back-splash, all these things take extra time.
Of course, you will want to keep your project moving along by providing decisions for your designs, cabinet colors, faucet colors and the many other choices in a timely basis. These decisions, which many times are out of our hands, can delay a project. Be prepared to participate and make your decisions promptly.
What state will my home be in after the project is done?
Although our contractors do their best to keep the project area closed off and avoid dust and dirt from traveling outside of the area, dust and dirt will carry over to other areas of your home. Therefore, your home will likely need some extensive cleaning after we are done.
What if something you worked on 2 years ago needs to be repaired?
Give us a call. Many products we install have a long warranty period. If the product is no longer in the warranty period, we will work with you to get the item fixed. We may have a charge for a service call depending on what the issue is.
